URGENT NEEDS – Terrible fire in the slum of Happyland, Tondo, Manila
Saturday April 18, 2020, during the lockdown crisis, a terrible fire devastated Happyland, one of the slum of the port of Navotas, Manila, where our foundation operates through a day-care center for scavenger children in the midst of the dumpsite.
Part of our staff, our beneficiaries and more than 500 families lost everything… our daycare center is completely destroyed.
COVID, POVERTY, FIRE… Let’s help them !
Today we are calling for URGENT donations.
Our staff and community workers are helping people affected, responding to their urgent needs, such as food distribution and children cares.
We need your support. You can help those unfortunate people by:
* DONATION IN KIND only if you live in Metro Manila:
HOME equipments: – Blanket – Floor mat – Pillow – Kaldero – Stoves – Pots
FOOD: Sacks of rice – Cans of food (sardines, corned beef, pork&beans)- Instant noodles
HYGIENE PRODUCTS: Soap – Shampoo – Toothbrush – Toothpaste – Bath Towel
Caritas is already providing clothes so NO CLOTHES needed for now.
