A new chance with L’Oréal

For any young adult, looking for a job is not an easy task. Much more when you are a former streetchild. Facing the other, being self-confident… our young adults experience difficulties to enter the world of work. Since most of them have been in the foundation for several years, ANAK-Tnk has become their family. That’s why, as parents in a family, we want to help them become independent.

Thanks to L’Oréal Paris Philippines, a new partnership has been launched in 2016. L’Oréal has begun to offer training to our girls who want to become sales consultant in their company.

We are deeply proud of our first salesladies Maria and Dolores who completed their training and just signed their first open-ended contract.

Many thanks to L’Oréal for this great and meaningful support to the street children of Manila!

A huge step for all women here at the foundation.

A rooftop playground with Decathlon

After months of building work, and thanks to the financial support of the foundation OXYLANE (France) and the foundation 3% Tiers-Monde (Canada), a new playground was opened threw February, on the roof of the foundation’s office.

This space of 170 m2 will benefit to all the children of the program “children of the streets” living in the household of the foundation. Particularly during the holidays here in Manila (April and May), during which the children go often in the playground to play.

Respect of the rules and team cohesion should encourage a better stability for these young people of the streets.

Bataan Farm Project with BNP Paribas

BNP Paribas has pledged its support for the Bataan Farm Project in Manila, Philippines for the next two years under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme. The Bataan Farm Project is a TNK rehabilitation center for street children, opened in 2008.

BNP Paribas’ sponsorship will enable Tulay ng Kabataan Foundation to provide these children with a tailor-made program to rebuild their lives and also an Alternative Learning System to prepare them for a formal school in their future.
In addition to receiving individual plans that look at their health, nutrition and psychological well-being, these children also follow farming activities (caring for animals and growing vegetables) during their stay at the Farm.
