Among the 29 homes that welcome people who have lived on the streets, we have a home for the elderly. These people often have a painful history. Our aim is to give them a peaceful, respectful end to their lives. Regaining their dignity is the greatest gift we can give them.
In mid-November, Lola Carolina died. We are fortunate to have a chapel in the courtyard, where residents and staff took it in turns to watch over her body for 4 days. The funeral took place in this chapel, and then we walked to the nearby cemetery for the burial. For these people, it’s a powerful experience to know that they will be loved and respected until after their death !
